Just a quick note to say thanks very much for your expert advice (Kevin Ballard) following our telephone call on Monday. Received the new rod and stiff green bag yesterday and its a perfect match with the other 3. I had no idea that there were three versions available so am grateful for the time you spent talking this through. I just wanted to say how happy I am with the service I've received from everyone at the Tackle Box! I pre-ordered the new Nash Double Top Professional and whilst waiting for it to come out I rang the Tackle Box a couple of time with little questions and every time the person went out of their way to give me an answer and in a bubbly friendly manner, but the cherry on the cake was when I rang to find out when it would be out and they said they where expecting a delivery the very next day! A good couple of weeks earlier than I was expecting! Anyway that very next day I got a phone call to say they had it in and they were sending it out straight away! It couldn't have been in their hands half an hour! And lo and behold I had it first thing the next morning and just couldn't believe it! It would have taken anyone else at least 3-4 days. So a Big Thank You for everything and for not stringing me along!! (UK)

I ordered some Skeetex Field Boot Liners on the internet by mistake when I should have ordered some thermal boot liners. I phoned your shop and spoke to one of your assistants and he has swapped the order round to what I wanted. This was all done via a return phone call in a few minutes. I would just like to say that the helpful and delightful nature of the sales person that served me today has got to be one of the best experiences I have had from any shop I have had the pleasure in purchasing from. The lad (failed to get his name, young lad with a goatee beard) was extremely helpful and gave me all the necessary advice I could need being a novice fisherman. Anyway if you could pass my thanks on to him I would appreciate it (oh and tell him and the line went on like a treat)... I just wanted to say thank you so much again! I was in the shop yesterday & the lads could not have been more helpful if they tried. It was Peter who served me in the end & was great. I am now the proud owner of a new carp porter MK4s with the tri porter system. Great stuff. I can't wait to use it now! When in the shop I was also talking to Kevin & explained to him that a chair I purchased from The Tackle Box several weeks ago had already developed a split but I did not have the receipt. No problem I was told just bring it back & we will replace it for you & on returning to the shop this morning again Peter duly sorted it out. Now I know why so many anglers go to the Tackle Box & keep going back. Jan Porter was right in Carp Crew, the shop truly is a mecca for carp anglers & a legend. Thanks for the mail order items and catalogue received today, over in Essex. Am well pleased. Sometimes wish I still lived back in Dartford. In fact I used to live in Watling street, a stone's throw from your shop. Was a member of DDAPS for years and made regular tackle purchases at your previous Sutton at Hone shop. There are tackle shops in Essex, but there have been several items, including 2 nash rods, I have not been able to buy locally this year, so still find myself driving over to your shop for this time a £130 mail order for bait and PVA bags. Some months ago I was unfortunate enough to badly injure my back & had to stop fishing. Well I'm pleased to say things are on the up. So much so that I am hoping to get along to Sutton in the next few days. Get on with it, we're not really interested in this carp I hear you say, why are you writing to us. Well I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Tackle Box. Over the past few weeks my wife & daughters have been popping in to collect a few bits & bobs for me. Every time they get home they have some comment to make about your staff & how pleasant or helpful or polite etc etc they are. At first they were very reluctant to pop in thinking they would be treated like idiots as they don't know one end of a rod from another. However from day one this was apparently not the case, indeed they have been treated with respect on every occasion even when they didn't really have a clue what they were asking for. So please tell your staff to please keep it up. They are a credit to your Company & deserve a pat on the back. (UK)

It seems nowadays that we are all too quick to write letters of complaint. Well I would just like to let you know of the superb service I received from Peter (sorry don't know his last name).

I came into in the shop in November as I was interested in buying a set of 3 Free Spirit Bank Creepers for my son for Christmas. Peter was just superb. There was no pressure to buy there and then. When I explained that my son was only 10, he suggested that I bring him in, as it would probably be a good idea to get the handles made shorter. He told me he had recently done this for his nephew and why it would be a good idea.

When I brought my son in, he recognised me immediately. He was just so good with my son and had him at ease in no time. His manner is just excellent. When I asked about the differences between the normal and S blanks, he went through it with me but there was no pressure to buy the more expensive ones. I bought the S ones anyway.

Please say thank you to Peter for me, and I am sure I'll be back in the shop in the near future. (UK)

I would just like to thank you for the great help and advice that one of your staff gave to me a couple of Fridays ago. I was unsure what bait to buy and asked for help. Not only did he advise and select some bait, he showed me how to make a rig that would present it well. I'm thrilled to tell you that I caught my first 20lb carp after many years of trying and since using the rig I have also caught a 16lb 8 and some specimen tench and bream. In Poland high quality carp tackle are inaccessible. Now I will recommend online ordering in Tackle Box to all my friends.
