Fluorocarbon ...
looks similar to nylon, but has different properties that can offer advantages. The refractive index of fluorocarbon (the manner in which light passes through) is much more like water's than nylon's, therefore it is less visible. Its density is greater so it will sink faster, plus fluorocarbon does not suffer as much ultraviolet deterioration. Like nylon different brands vary in strength in relation to diameter.
