The ever popular ‘S’ Range Carp rods have arguably become classics and although they have been around for a number of years they still have a dedicated following.
Unlike many companies Free Spirit take great pains to create the best rods they can before launch so don’t need to keep changing models unless something significantly better in material is developed. Since the more progressive action of these rods in still in demand this range will be kept available.
The blanks feature Low Resin Japanese Carbon in 36t with an attractive 3k weave going right to the tip. As standard they come with Clone reel seat in 3k and ‘S’-Lite guides with gun-smoke frame colour. The abbreviated handles are finished with a combination of EVA and shrink rubber butt grip with stainless steel collars and butt cap. All models (except the XS’ive) have a firm progressive action that gives them all-rounder qualities. The XS’ive is the distance rod of the range and has a faster taper than the rest of the range.
