The philosophy behind the Darent Valley rod range is to take advantage of modern manufacturing techniques and materials to create exceptionally high performance rods at very affordable prices.
Darent Valley rods bring the fun back into fishing.

This 8ft power house is another bespoke blank which has been developed for the Darent Valley range, the specialist angler will find a multitude of uses for this rod, especially in confined situations.
It can be used as an 8ft power feeder/quiver, float or drop shot rod. There is immense power in the butt section if needed to be called upon, however the tip to middle brings finesse to the action easing in the power to avoid hook pulls.
There are two push in quiver tips, the red tipped version is rung traditionally for detecting bites when using feeders and leads. The yellow tip version is rung differently using stand-off rings, this allows the rod to be used as an 8ft float rod or drop shot rod. Careful ring spacing's allows this rod to be super compact when packed down using the Fold Friendly method.

Reel not included and is shown for display purpose only.

I bought this rod to use float fishing on small streams and dropshotting. It's light with a fast action, plenty of power and a nice feel. This rod is great for roving, I've already had more than my money's worth of fun with it, one of my favourite rods.
What a great little rod, very versatile and compact. I used mine for the first time for dropshotting, and had several jack pike/perch in confined spaces. It was a joy to use, a lovely action that makes the fight enjoyable, but enough power to steer them away from snags. Great little bomb rod too! Great job Tackle Box!
