Finding Products
 
There are two ways to locate the products you're after - take your time and  browse through the departments, or go straight for it by using the search box.
   
Bullet Browsing through the product categories
 

Click on View Products anywhere you see it and you'll be taken straight to the first search page (View Products - Step 1). Choose any department from the drop down list and click on Go. A second page will load (View Products - Step 2) and the drop down list will contain all the categories of products in the department you chose in Step 1. Click on Go again and you will be shown a page listing all the products available in the category you chose. From this page you can see more detailed product information and/or add items to your order.

   
Bullet Using the search box
 

We are pleased to be able to offer you an extremely powerful search function. Enter any keywords (e.g. nash or rig bits). Don't include any punctuation, just one space between words. We challenge you to identify a product (that exists in our online store!) that the search engine can't find! If you do ... please be sure to let us know what you were looking for and what keywords you were using.

 

The search results will be listed 10 products at a time. You can click on the fish (see below) by any product in the list to go to the product detail page for more information (if any more is available).

 

You can also go directly to a product by entering the product code (as shown in our catalogue - e.g. 2534) in the search box. In this way you can add an item to your order with just 2 clicks!

   
Bullet Viewing  products only
 

Click on what's new on the left and you will be taken to the   Product Search page. Choose a department from the drop down list and click on Go. All the new products available in that department will then be listed. From this page you can see more detailed product information and/or add items to your order.

 

Alternatively, enter new in the search box above and all the new products will be listed, 10 to a page. If you are looking for specific new items, type for example new floats in the search box.

How to order
 

The ordering process is very straightforward. If you need it, help is available at all times. You can't get lost and you certainly can't order something you didn't mean to! Just browse through the pages if you'd like to ... you don't have to order anything at all.

 
Bullet Outline ordering process
  1. Find the products you would like to order by browsing through the departments or using the search box. (Scroll up for more information on finding products).
2. Add items to your order.
  3. View and check your order. Make any changes necessary, or abandon the order completely if you want to.
  4. Provide delivery information (name and delivery address) and any special instructions to us.
  5. Finally, check your order again, then provide your credit or UK debit card details.
 

Please be assured that you are not committed to purchase anything until you have entered and submitted your credit/debit card information at the very end of the checkout process.

   
Bullet Seeing more detailed product information
 

When you find the product you're interested in, if you would like to see more detailed product information just click on the fish. (As shown on the right).

Of course ... nothing's ever straightforward! This site should be viewed in Internet Explorer, Versions 4.0 and above. If you are using Netscape, clicking on a bubbling fish will unfortunately stop all the bubbles on that page. The lack of bubbles will make no difference to the correct operation of the website.

   
Bullet Adding items to your order
 

To add items to your order, select from any options (e.g. colour or size), and if you would like more than one item, amend the amount in the quantity box alongside the product and click on 'Add to Order'.

 

If an item has more than one option (e.g. Nash Easi Back Leads are available in 15g and 30g), and you would like to order more than one option, choose one option and add the quantity you require to your order. The checkout (shopping cart) page will show your order so far. Click on the name of the product you have just added and you will be returned to the same product page. You may then choose and order another option for the same product in the same way. When you view the order, you will see the different options you have chosen listed separately.

   
Bullet Viewing your order contents
 

You can view your order contents at any time by clicking on
View Order/Checkout on the left or at the bottom of the page. Clicking on this does not commit you to buying anything.

   
Bullet Checking out
 

When you are happy that your order is complete, click on
View Order/Checkout on the left or at the bottom of the page. Just follow the instructions on the screen to enter delivery, shipping, order method and payment information.

  Membership
 

We are pleased to be able to offer a membership facility. If you have ordered from us before, you may enter your email address at the bottom of the View Order/ Checkout page. The system will then complete the delivery information for you, based on the details you supplied previously. It will not complete your credit/debit card details as, for security reasons, these are not stored. You may amend any part of the delivery information as necessary.

  Delivery Address
 

Enter the name and address that you would like your order delivered to. Please note that for first time customers paying by credit or debit card we are unable to deliver to any other than the address the card is registered to (billing address).

  Any Special Delivery Instructions
  If you would like us to add any delivery instructions to your parcel (e.g. leave parcel in bin by back door) please write them in the space provided. Please note that if we add these instructions to a parcel we will not accept responsibility for delay, damage or loss of the parcel.
  Instructions For Items That Are Out Of Stock
  Select 'Send as soon as possible', 'Substitute as appropriate' or 'Delete from order' from the drop down list.
  Paying with Gift Vouchers
  If you would like to use one or more Tackle Box Gift Vouchers to pay for all or part of your order, type the number(s) written on the back of the voucher(s) in the text box where requested. The system will not automatically deduct the voucher amount, but we will when we process your order.
  Shipping to UK
 

If you are ordering from the UK, postage and packing will be added at our standard rate. If you are ordering before midday (UK time) you may choose 'Next Day' delivery if you wish. (Please note that our mail is collected Monday to Friday, so 'Next Day' orders received on a Friday, will be delivered on a Monday; those received on a Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on a Tuesday).

  Shipping to outside the UK
 

Our usual shipping rates will apply. The system will not calculate a rate, but will offer you a choice. You may either authorise us to charge the appropriate shipping rate, or ask us to contact you to confirm the shipping rate before despatch.

  Order Method
 

The system will ask you to choose how you would like to order. You may order by:

 

Secure Order Capture - supply your credit or UK debit card details online. The system currently accepts Mastercard, Visa and Amex credit cards. It will also accept Switch and Delta UK debit cards.

 

Please note that the system will not automatically debit your card. We will obtain your card information by accessing the secure server directly. We prefer to keep it this way so that we can contact you if there are any problems with the order, rather than charging an incorrect amount to your card.

 

Phone, Fax or Mail - the system will generate an order form that you can phone, fax or mail to us with appropriate payment. All contact information is provided during the checkout process.

 

Callback - if you have any worries about the security of the web, or any questions you would like to ask us before confirming your order, this method is ideal. Provide your name and a phone number where we can reach you (during 9am to 5pm GMT, Mon - Fri), and we'll be in touch to take payment information and answer your questions.

Not paying by credit/debit card?

 

If you would prefer to pay by cheque (drawn on a UK bank), Postal Orders (UK) or International Money Order, please just print the order form using the 'Mail' order method above, and post it to us with your payment. All instructions are provided during the checkout process.

Confirmation of order

 

If your order has reached us successfully (no reason why it shouldn't!), you will see a 'Thank you for your order' confirmation on your screen. Also your order will no longer contain any items.

Email notification of order

 

Very soon after sending your order, you will receive an email confirming that we have received it. The email will list the products you have ordered and any other information you have supplied. It will also give you an order number, which you should refer to if you need to contact us. The email will not contain your credit/debit card information. That is held always in a secure environment.

Security and Privacy
 

Despite all the scare stories, entering your credit/debit card information into a secure shopping cart system like the one we're using is actually safer than handing your card over the counter in a shop. Read the following information, and if you still have any worries, use our 'Callback' option.

   
Bullet Security of your personal information
 

We have deliberately chosen a proprietary shopping cart system that keeps your credit/debit card information in a secure environment at all times. When you complete your card details on screen you are entering them directly into storage on a secure server. Your entry of that information is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. We then obtain your order information, by accessing the secure server directly. We then delete the order information completely. Your card information never exists outside a secure environment, for example in the form of an email.

 

If you still have concerns about the security of your card information, use the online ordering process for its convenience, then just select Callback as the order method. You do not need to supply any card details, just your name and a daytime (UK time) phone number, and we will call you for your card details.

 

The other information you supply, e.g. your name, address, special instructions and the items you have ordered, are emailed to you once, as an order confirmation, from the secure server.

 

Cookies

 

Our website uses cookies to keep track of the items in your order, during your current browsing session. A cookie is a very small file that is created by a web-page server when you click on 'Add to Order' or another shopping cart button. The cookie contains information about the product(s) you have selected. It cannot execute code or deliver viruses. The cookie is uniquely yours, the information in it is private and it can only be read by the server that created it. Cookies help you and save you time. Without them, on our web site, you would not be able to order more than one product at a time.

 

If you would like to control which cookies you accept, you can set your browser to accept all cookies or alert you every time a cookie is offered. When using this web site you should accept all cookies from tacklebox.co.uk or DXCart.com (our shopping cart vendor). Doing so will allow the ordering process to work properly for you. As far as we're concerned, all the information you supply is private, and we keep it that way. We will never pass on your personal information to any other party for any reason, unless you specifically ask us to do so.

Shipping Charges
 
Bullet Delivery to the UK
  Our standard UK postal rates apply and can be seen here. They are also detailed at the back of the current catalogue. You may choose between 'Standard' and 'Next Day'. Orders for 'Next Day' delivery must be placed before midday (UK time). (Please note that our mail is collected Monday to Friday, so 'Next Day' orders received on a Friday, will be delivered on a Monday; those received on a Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on a Tuesday).
   
Bullet Delivery to outside the UK
  We ship a variety of orders to so many countries that it is impossible to quote shipping information to cover all possibilities. Information about European and Rest of World postal rates are given here.
  If you order for delivery outside the UK, during the checkout process you will be asked to choose from two options. If you choose Option 1 - 'Please notify me of the shipping charge before despatching my order', we will assemble your order, calculate the shipping charge (or charges, if there is more than one option available), and then contact you so that you can confirm your preferred option.
  If you choose Option 2 - 'Please charge appropriate shipping - no notification required', we will pick the best shipping option for the nature of the order, add the cost to your order and despatch your order without delay.

Bullet All Orders
  We aim to despatch all orders within one working day (Monday to Friday) of receipt.
  Orders to the UK are despatched either via a carrier service (next working day (Monday to Friday) delivery from day of despatch), or via Royal Mail First Class Packetpost (approximately 95% are delivered next day (except Sunday) from day of despatch). Please note that Royal Mail First Class Packetpost is not a guaranteed service and although the majority of parcels will be delivered within 1-2 days, some may take as long as 7-10 days.
  Orders to outside the UK are despatched either via a range of International Carrier Services or via Airmail, depending on the nature (size, weight, value) of the order and customer requirements (delivery time).
