Weston Developments Speed Cap – Ultegra 14000

This replacement cap is designed to convert the standard felt clutch system to a conventional Weston speed cap, operating from locked up to free running in half a turn. They are supplied with carbon washers which also give better performance and increased sensitivity and smoothness.
These 3 carbon washers replace the 3 felt washers inside your spool and come supplied with ceramic clutch grease to lightly grease the carbon washers with.

To change the washers simply remove the 3 screws in the front of the spool, lift off the retaining ring and rubber seal to gain access to the metal and felt washers, now replace the standard felt washers in the same order with the carbon ones supplied, replace the rubber seal and retaining ring and re fit the 3 screws.
Made from light weight aero grade aluminium with a Satin Black anodised finish they will also reduce the overall weight of the reel when fitted.
They have the option to fit a Gardner 12mm x 2mm Isotope (not supplied) off set to one side in the front which are available in many colours to suit your tastes. (It is recommend using a small drop of clear silicon sealer for securing the isotopes).
Compatible with all the 14000 size reels and 10000 size with 57mm diameter spool caps.
