The ‘Hutch Spec’ version is built to casting guru Mark Hutchinson’s specification, and incorporates the butt ring and other intermediates whipped slightly higher up on the blank, a slightly longer than normal handle for increased casting leverage and a ‘Hutch Spec’ logo below the normal Free Spirit cosmetics.
In the right hands and with practise this rod is capable of immense casting distances, although anglers that are not as adept at distance casting, might find that the standard built version is more suitable for their needs.

All Hi-‘S’ carp rods are UK built on slim line, 40t low resin, high modulus carbon blanks that have a 1K weave and a lifelong perdurable finish and that are manufactured by one of the top factories in Korea. All versions are equipped with Free Spirit’s matching ‘Clone’ reel seat and ‘S’-Lite? rings.
