The philosophy behind the Darent Valley rod range is to take advantage of modern manufacturing techniques and materials to create exceptionally high performance rods at very affordable prices.
Darent Valley rods bring the fun back into fishing.
The Darent Valley Specimen rod range can be split into 3 categories:

3.5lb rods: These all have a similar action as the popular Darent Valley 3lb rods so they still retain the excellent playing qualities, the higher test curve deals better with heavier casting weights and they have greater distance casting capabilities. As the 3lb rods they have uses for carp fishing, pike fishing from the bank and boat and lure fishing. Available in four lengths, 12ft, 11ft, 10ft and 9ft.

3lb rods: These rods just deal effortlessly with most specimen fishing situations which has gained them a strong following, they have a diverse use from carp fishing, pike fishing from bank and boat, plus they are very useful as a lure rod, especially the 9ft and 10ft versions. Available in four lengths, 12ft, 11ft, 10ft and 9ft, there is a 6ft version which we categorise as a utility rod.

Utility rods: There are two 6ft rods, a 3lb and a 2.5lb version, they are named ‘Tree Rods’ as they are excellent for use in restricted fishing situations, but they have also been successfully used for lure and jerk bait fishing. There are two rods designed for feature finding and bait delivery, available in a 12ft or 10ft length. The 10ft has been popular for using with the new castable fish finders and cameras, so we have named this one SMD Spod, Marker and Device.
