The philosophy behind the Darent Valley rod range is to take advantage of modern manufacturing techniques and materials to create exceptionally high performance rods at very affordable prices.
Darent Valley rods brings the fun back into fishing.

Due to the versatility of this blank, it is also available as an Avon/Quiver, built with stand off guide set and supplied with an additional quiver tip top making it more suitable for tackling rivers(product code 15307).

This low set guide version is preferred by anglers using ledgering techniques, the larger diameter guides also allows stop knots to move more freely and they are more suited to casting higher diameter lines.

Built on a quality carbon blank with a slim full length cork style handle, 16mm DPS style reel seat, lined rings throughout and with attractive cosmetics.
The ringing pattern is our 'Fold friendly' design which allows them to be transported more conveniently and safely.

I bought a pair of these rods after speaking to the guys in the shop online and over the phone. I honestly thought that they sounded too good to be true, but I can happily say that they are brilliant short range feeder rods for bream and tench.
I have only used them twice, the first time was chasing tench at 25 yards with 30g open end feeders fishing accurately close to an island. Although the fishing was not so hot the rods performed faultlessly and a session on a bigger water was soon being planned.
I have just returned from one of my best overnighters ever, fishing 40g open end feeders to overcome the strong cross winds I was fishing as accuratly as I could expect at 40 yards. This saw me land an 8lb 10oz bream and the rod dealt with the small hook and large fish really well.
The following morning a few fish started to roll further out so I swithed to a 45g Method feeder and pinged it at them, within an hour I had landed a 32lb 12oz Mirror carp and new PB!!
These rods are brilliant, they cast well and have a great playing action that protects small hook holds on big fish, if you are after a tench rod buy these!!!!
