The 'Black Edition' these are the very same blanks, although there has been some new additions, we have freshened the cosmetics and used the latest black on black components available, however, our rod builders can create your own masterpiece. This cosmetic upgrade to the stock rods has given us the opportunity to fit the new glass fibre reinforced Sea Guide XDPS reel seats and anti-frap tip guides

Please note that this rod was previously rated at 2.75lb test curve, but consultation with many customers has urged us to rate this rod as a 3lb, so if you wish to match up with an original 10ft 2.75lb it is the same blank and we can build one to match.
The 10ft CF-X rods have gained popularity for 2 of the growing aspects of carp fishing, carp fishing rivers and for boating baits out and playing carp from boats on venues such as Rainbow, Madine etc. The shorter length is far less awkward in a boat, a spare rod is easily kept in the boat to drop a bait back on the spot after landing a fish, saves going back out again and causing more disturbance. The robustness of these rods have proved themselves in this situation.
The 10ft 3lb has a slightly more progressive action than the 3.25lb, still having multi-range capabilities with a smoother playing action. Very comfortable for fishing up to around the 80yd mark when casting from the bank, but will put a bait up to or just over 100yds if needed.
